Joris Ide, the international manufacturer of composite panels, metal sheets and purlins, announces a new corporate website and several new country websites among which sites for Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany and the UK. The company’s growth and acquisition of several enterprises abroad urged for a clear Joris Ide brand for all websites in all countries. Joris Ide asked The Reference, a company of the Emakina network, to handle the project.
The Reference launches Bekaert.mobi
Shortly after the launch of the brand new www.bekaert.com , Bekaert and The Reference continue to improve Bekaert’s online presence with a mobile version of the website.
Bekaert, global market and technological leader in advanced metal transformation and advanced materials and coatings, has been elected International Sitecore 'Site of the Year' finalist and the winner in the category 'Manufacturing' with its brand new website www.bekaert.com.
At the end of 2008, Emakina Group sales reached 31.484.834 EUR compared to 17.371.543 EUR last year, a growth of 81%. At constant scope, sales growth in 2008 reached 55%. Moreover, the EBITDA (operational earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization) increased by 70% to reach 2.686.862 EUR in 2008. At constant scope, EBITDA increased by 26%. Net profit before tax went up from 528.929 EUR in 2007 to 900.554 EUR in 2008, a rise of 70%. Net profit (before amortization of goodwill) rose from 1.112.486 EUR in 2007 to 1.281.275 EUR in 2008.
The new global corporate website focuses on uniform and consistent communication in order to strengthen the Bekaert brand and its online presence. Bekaert succeeds in managing thousands of web pages by means of a powerful content management system (CMS). Bekaert CMS users from all over the world can contribute to the site via Sitecore, without losing the advantage of centralized content validation.
