Pirobase

Pirobase is a Java CMS from the Germany company Pironet.

Pirobase CMS 6 is based on Pironet technology (pirobase CMS/pirobase CB) and was developed as a J2EE application on an Oracle application server (Oracle 10 g). The underlying database is Oracle 9i. XML is used as the internal data format, while multi-channel presentation is realized by means of XSL transformation. The system offers cross-browser support for Internet Explorer and Mozilla, and is able to run without client plug-ins such as Active-X or Java.

Pirobase CMS 6 is designed as a high availability solution and can use e.g. the Oracle Real Application Cluster. This guarantees high scalability and optimal system stability. Pirobase CMS 6 uses the Linux Red Hat AS 3.0 operating system. The pirobase CMS 6 application is multilingual and offers Unicode support. The community-capable system is designed to cope with 2500 concurrent users and more than 100 Authors. It supports the Microsoft Active Directory Service, enabling users to authenticate themselves via single sign-on.
